Time in the studio to use the tools including the kiln, rolling mill and hydraulic press.
Class details
During studio time sessions you may use the tools and equipment that are available to students during classes, to work on your own designs. You may also buy silver, copper, enamel and gemstones.
Cancellation Policy
Studio Time Policy, Terms & Conditions Eligibility To purchase independent studio time, you must have either: - Successfully attended a previous course at our studios, or - Be able to demonstrate basic jewellery-making skills, including but not limited to soldering and simple cutting with a piercing saw. - To use the kilns you must have prior experience. Independent studio time is intended for competent makers wishing to work on their own projects. Whilst a member of staff will be present to offer occasional advice if needed, no formal teaching is included. Health and Safety All health and safety procedures must be strictly adhered to at all times. This includes, but is not limited to: - No open-toe footwear permitted in the studio. - Long hair must be securely tied back. - Loose or floaty clothing, particularly sleeves, must not be worn. - All studio safety instructions given by staff must be followed immediately. - If the fire alarm sounds you should leave the building immediately by the front doors and assemble outside the Elliot huts in the car park. - We have a first aid kit for standard injuries located in the large white shelves. If you do hurt yourself please speak to the member of Failure to comply with health and safety rules may result in removal from the studio without refund. Booking and Usage - Studio time must be used within three months from the start date of your booking. - Studio time may be rescheduled up to 24 hours before the start of the session. - Evening studio time needs to be booked 24 hours prior to the start time of the session. - Studio time is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another person. - Unused studio time after the three-month period will be forfeited. - All bookings are taken through the website. This is so we can manage the space, not have too many members and everyone can use the equipment as needed. Please do not come to the studio unannounced. General Terms - You must work independently and responsibly. - Use of equipment and materials must be respectful and safe. - Any damage to studio equipment caused by negligence may incur repair or replacement charges. - The studio reserves the right to refuse further bookings to any individual who does not adhere to these terms. - Booked session time includes any setting up or packing down of your own items and equipment as well as any breaks you take. By purchasing studio time, you agree to abide by all the terms and conditions outlined above.
