Discover the world of enamelling in this inspiring four week course, designed especially for absolute beginners. Starting from the very basics, you will be guided through the fundamentals of enamelling in a friendly and supportive environment. There will only be three students on this course, each week will be three hours. Week 1: You will learn how to prepare both enamel and copper, before applying enamel using traditional sieving methods. Using hammers, stencils, and a rolling mill, you will experiment with adding texture and pattern to your copper surfaces. Week 2: You will build on your skills by exploring more expressive approaches, including applying enamel in a watercolour style and using millefiori. Week 3: You will experiment with using enamel paints and pens, using graphite pencils and graphite powders You will also learn how to apply silver foil. Week 4: You will have time to use whichever techniques you like and ask questions . By the end of the course, you will have a strong foundation in enamelling and the confidence to continue developing your own creative work.
